What Playgroup Offers

At playgroup, children get to explore, learn through play, and make new friends, all while being supported by a caring adult. It’s a fun way for them to develop important skills like confidence, communication, and social skills!

Parents and caregivers can also enjoy meeting other families while watching their children grow and have fun.

    A Few Friendly Reminders:

    • Supervision: Parents are responsible for their children at all times. Please keep a close eye on your little one and choose activities suited to their age and ability.
    • Safety First:
      • We walk inside.
      • We respect and take care of our friends, plants, and animals.
      • We go up the steps of the mound and slide down feet first.
      • Sand stays in the sandpit, and we don’t block the watercourse.
      • We sit in designated areas when eating.
      • Hats are worn outside.

If you see any unsafe behaviour (like climbing up the slide or throwing sand), please let the child’s parent know or step in kindly.

    Peaceful Play:

We want playgroup to be a peaceful space, so we discourage pretend play with weapons. Instead, we help children resolve any issues by talking and listening to each other.

    Helping Out:

Since playgroup is run by parents, we kindly ask for your help in setting up, packing up, and cleaning. Here are a few tasks that need doing each week:

    • Wipe down tables and chairs
    • Clean the paint easels and equipment
    • Wash and dry kitchen items
    • Put away all toys and equipment in their usual spots

    Get Involved!

Your child will enjoy playgroup even more with your involvement! You might like to help plan activities, organize the group, or support the sessions in other ways.
